Dice Roller Improvement/Ideas

I was wondering if there were plans to update the Dice
Roller's functionality to make it not only faster to use but a little nicer as well.

If not or if so i would like to know what functionality if at all you guys/the community have thought of adding and at the same time present my own ideas.

My Ideas:

1. Allow the dice roller to open as either its own program or in an actual new window: I use Herolab in Wine on my netbook and it would be great if i could put the dice roller on a separate workspace so it doesn't hover over my character and get in the way while i am playing.

2. Add a Saved Roll Function: This allows users to save rolls they use all the time so they don't have to waste time retyping/configuring the roller and thus increases combat/gameplay. Also another thing that ties in to this but would be a bit tougher is to allow the dice roller to look at the weapons/attacks of players and automatically add them into the dice roller.

Thank you for making my life easier, and keep up the great work!

Further Ideas/Programs to check out:
Instead of forcing players to save their own rolls, it would be way cooler if the dice rolling program could look at certain fields and program the rolls itself. As in Attack/Damage, Saves, Initiative, etc.

Websites/good dice rolling programs to use as a base:

-Virtual Dice Tray(http://home.earthlink.net/~evildm/dd3e/tools/index.html)
especially the mini dice tray aspect after you've set up your rolls.

-Konkret Dice Roller(http://rpg.norwinter.com/konkret/#)
online dice roller with saving options, not as good as VDT

Thank You,

Seconded :)

This would make my DM job much easier

Check out d20srd you just have to click on an entry and it gives you the dice result

The suggestion has been made a few times before. :) By me among others. Basically, the problem they face is that all of the systems work a bit differently, but the base program is supposed to be pretty generic.

Another dice roller idea - output options

Another idea for the dice roller. I think this one is much easier than the above ones to implement since it doesn't require any hooks back into the character sheets. :)

Please add a "copy" output button, so we can copy the dice rolls to clipboard. It would be awesome if there could be an option for BBCode and such, so when playing PbP games, we can copy the dice rolls to the clipboard and post them into the forum thread.

If not adding a copy output button, please let us right click or select text and copy/paste using normal Windows commands.

Thanks

Also is there a way to see what the dice actually rolled when adding a modifier to it.

For example, the output says 1(d20) + 5 = 15. I'd rather see 1(d20) + 5 = 10 + 5 = 15

I know it's extra work, but it makes seeing natural 20s easier. When I see 1(d20) + 5 = 20, does that mean the dice roll was 15 or a natural 20 (and hence doesn't need to add in the modifier)?

Some more ideas.

Have a button or menu choice on Tactical Console to launch dice roller.

Have a checkbox on dice roller to "always keep on top", so that the dice roller dialog is always topmost amongst the other windows (tactical console, main window, etc.).

Have a button on the "Special" (and other) tab (M&M) to launch dice roll and pre-populate "add to each dice/total" for attacks (but not auto-roll).
