Dex to AC Error or just noob error?

Gandalf2756

New member
So i am still relatively new to hero labs but I can't figure something out. When I am creating a new character it will not carry my dex bonus into the ac for some reason? I have looked through all the tabs and cant find anything to limit it because i haven't done anything to the new character yet. i literally just open a new character and set the abilities. Any one have any ideas as to what i may be doing wrong, I'm not above admitting i don't know enough about this game but my understanding was that the ac is 10 + dex bonus (in this case should be +4)? Or is this a bug with the new update?

thanks for any help. Here is a screen shot of it.

See on Miscellaneous where is says "Hvy encumbrance"? (the purple text) - heavy encumbrance imposes a Max Dex of +1, as if you were wearing heavy armor.

This still gets me sometimes too, and I've had HL for almost five years.

I think it might be a good idea for the AC popup to include a note on anything that's imposing a max-dex cap.

I bet it is all those 10,500 gold coins that is weighing him down.

(You can ignore coin weight as an option in the Configure Hero window.)

or create in gear a custom valuable of 10,000 GP (to consider you have tradeables in gems/ gold bars which weight less than their GP equivalent

I like to add a custom location named "Bank" or "Home" or "Hidden Cache" (depending on the character), and move the cash there.

I will point out that the Community Basic Pack now includes (in Shadow Chemosh's Gear) Gold Piece, Silver Piece, Copper Piece, and Platinum Piece "coin" gear items so that you can stash some of that money in separate places.
