Dex bonus?

I just started using Hero Lab on a friend's recommendation, but I have a question. On the first character I built in the system, the AC seems wrong, and I can't see why. His Dex is 18, with a +4 bonus, but under his AC it only comes out to a +3. Is this a bug, or am I missing an obscure rule? He's wearing Masterwork Studded Leather, which should have a +5 max Dex, so I don't get it.

Any ideas?

Bingo. That's it!

All I gave him was Studded Leather and a h. x-bow, but that was enough to put him into Medium encumbrance.

Hero Lab, I will never doubt you again.
