Developers Kit for Patfinder

AAron could you contact Pazio and see if they would authorize a Developer Kit for Pathfinder where everything is copyable between files. Charge maybe $15 or $20 I am sure it would sell well for those of us who like to use the editor.
 
Unfortunately, I don't have the authority to contact Paizo about anything, but I can point my boss at this idea and see what he thinks.

What your asking is the same as asking Paizo to no longer watermark their PDF files. It won't happen as it would be a terrible business model for LW.

Everything can be looked at and copied but your correct it can't be done easily. This is 100% on purpose because otherwise I could buy say the Bestiary 4 and quickly go into the Editor and do a New Copy on all B4 Things. Bring them down into a .user file and share that with my players and the whole community.

Same reason why Paizo watermark their PDF's to prevent a single purchase to be shared among whole gaming groups or gaming clubs.

So LW does allow you to view the Things and then you can then manually copy each setting over to a new Thing. Then use Replace Thing ID to overwrite the CORE version. As most people only need to do a few things its not a big deal. But trying to do a whole book like B4 would take almost the same amount of time as entering it all new.
 
ShadowChemosh has explained pretty succinctly why we do it. :( We're open to a better way of limiting the re-use of things like this, but we've had enough experience with piracy of our products to know that if we don't restrict things like this, it comes back to bite us. :(

I would NEVER do such a thing.... not for a whole book, that'd be nuts...just for the 1 or 2 things I need on my character....

No, seriously though, Even as a cheap bastard, I think that what OP is asking for would be a HUGE mistake.
