.dat files or .user

Quick question, have the default files extension been changed from .dat to .user? I dont seem to have the option to save any file as a .dat anymore. Just curious. Thanks.

You should save all new files created by the editor as ".user". This helps Hero Lab distinguish between files that were created by the game system author, and files that were created by users using the editor - it allows game systems written for the authoring kit to recover from any errors introduced when editing files in the editor.

Hope this helps.
