Custom Spirit

I'm trying to enter in a custom Spirit and have most of it working. What doesn't seem to want to work are custom critter powers. I copied Accident and used that as the base and edited it. The new power won't show up in the available list for the spirit on the bootstrap button.

Is there maybe something else that needs to be done other than an entry for critter powers to make this work?
 
ok Figured out why they weren't showing up. I was looking in the wrong place.
How do you get something to show up in the Hero Settings under user defined source? I created a new source and checked off user defined, but it's not showing up.
 
Seems I just had to restart HL to get it to show up in the list.
Now the only problem I'm having is that the spirit isn't showing up in the magic tab for summon new spirit (I was able to add it to a new tradition and the tradition shows up). It's also not showing up in Spirit Bane or Spirit Affinity.
