Custom Smite help

I'm trying to create a Paladin variant that gets SR rather than the deflection bonus to AC when using their smite ability, as well as not getting the double damage vs. specific targets. Other than that, it's identical to the standard smite ability.

The problem I'm having, is that it seems I'd need to know how to edit the eval scripts, and I'm just not quite grasping what needs to be done. Any help would be appreciated!
