Custom skill unlock?

Vaporose

I would like to houserule the Pathfinder item creation to do one of two things:

Either 1) Auto-add the item creation feats on a given level of a skill (like Pathfinder Unchained skill unlocks) - preferable

Or 2) Allow a character to add a feat for free if they meet the minimum skill level required.

Is this possible? Any help would be appreciated! :)

Specific example: I want to append Craft: Alchemy to add Brew Potion feat at 5 ranks in the skill.

I realize I can do this just by adding this on the character directly, it'd just be nice to have it streamlined a bit. Again, I appreciate any pointers - I apologize if there's a tutorial I've missed that covers this exact thing. :)

You would want to use a Mechanic and setup bootstraps of the different Allowed Feats. Then use Bootstrap Condition logic to control when a feat would appear.

The next step would be to create Custom.? tags on the mechanic to represent each type of Condition. Like Custom.CrfAlch5 for "Craft Alchemy 5 Ranks". Then have a script on the mechanic that looks for ranks in Craft Alchemy and assigns the tag Custom.CrfAlch5 to the hero to control the bootstrap logic of any feats the character should get.

That would be the most "automatic" way of making this happen.
