Custom Race Trait - Choose Higher Power Error

I am trying to add the Powerful Build Racial Special ability to the list of selectable Custom Race Traits within the Hero Lab Race Builder options.

I have found the Racial Special "Powerful Build" (xPowerBuild) and it does exactly what I want. I just want to add it to the list of selectable traits within the Race Builder. I have created a "Powerful Build" (rtPowerBuild) Custom Race Trait and boost strapped in the xPowerBuild Racial Special and I can see and select it properly from the Race Builder Custom Race Trait lists, however I get a validation error "Choose Higher Power".

Any suggestions on how to eliminate this? I suspect I could avoid this whole issue by simply creating my own custom race and boost strapping in the racial special and all the other characteristics I want, but I had hoped to use the Race Builder so that I could show my GM the RP value of the race I built.

Thanks!

You're probably missing an appropriate RaceTrtPow tag. If you want it to be available to "normal" races (those with 10 RP or less), apply RaceTrtPow.Normal. RaceTrtPow.Advanced for 11-20 RP, and RaceTrtPow.Monstrous for 21+ RP. Anything available at one level is available to all higher levels, so you only need to apply the tag for the lowest level you want it to be valid at. Hope that helps!

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for your feedback. I will try that now, but I don't believe that is the problem because, if I make a character using the Race Builder at the advanced or monstrous level, I still have the "Choose Higher Power" validation error.

Maybe adding the tags will clarify that. I'll go try now!

Aaron, you were correct! I had actually left the standard/advanced/monstrous entry box empty, so despite me applying a tag manually it would automatically clear when it evalulated the drop down box.

Thanks again for your help. :-)
