Custom Race for Animal Companion

Hi!
I was wondering if there was a way to have an animal companion be a custom race. I know there is the ability to create custom races in your hero, but I do not see that option anywhere for companions. Is there a way to do that?

Animal companions are added in the editor under "Race->Race, Anim Comp" tab. New tricks are located "General->Animal Trick".

@Aaron or Mathias animal companions have enough "Tabs" that it would almost be worth putting them into their own "Parent" tab. Like "Animal Companion" and having the Race, Animal Tricks, Companion Class Helper, and Companion Types as child tabs. Just a Thought. :)
