Custom Item Questions?

So I happened upon an epic ring in our campaign.

+5 AC and +4DR (of melee)

This prompted several questions:

How would I go about coding this? (I plan to read the editor stuff tomorrow and take a stab but direction would be helpful)

Is there a way to add 'custom ring' just like 'custom wand' ?

Is there a way to toggle the 'Edit' feature like exists on my custom +1 Shield, Heavy Steel? For example, can I add a Ring of Protection +5 and add the DR 4 to it?

Is there a place to get fan-made stuff along these lines (data files)?
 
Hi,

You can make custom things (items, feats, etc) by going to Tools -> Launch Editor.

You just have to learn the language and xml scripting - do check out the help file in the Editor, it has someone the basics.
 
There is plenty of user created content available, though not much in the way of custom items. There are just too many possible combinations and too many other things that still need to be done. That said, check out these sites:

For community created Pathfinder data sets for hero lab check out d20pfsrd or cheeseweasel.net pages.
 
Someone was working on the MIC awhile back, i think most of it was completed. There might be some information from that that could be used.
