Current Pathfinder Society Factions

Tx6185, just checking to confirm that you received my response yesterday to your Fogbugz case with the screenshot attached?

When you send a bug report to us, it goes into a tracking system called Fogbugz, so among ourselves we refer to bug reports as "fogbugz cases".

From the Character menu at the top, choose "Configure Hero". That will re-open the form you saw when you first created your character. Take a look at the selections on the right-hand side. One of the first groups there is "Pathfinder Society". Have you turned the correct one of those options on, depending on whether you're playing a core character or a normal society character (or just using the society factions in a home game). Once you've verified that, the Faction is chosen on the Background tab.

My apologies for using intra-work jargon, Tx6185. I forgot where I was for a moment.

I did respond to your case. Check your Spam folder? That said, Mathias' explanation is, as always, correct. :)

I have selected pathfinder society organized play, but the factions I see are not the current season of the ten factions. No concordance, no dark archive, no liberty’s edge, no sovereign court.

I can send it but I’m not sure how to post it

When you go to reply to a forum thread there's a paper-clip symbol for attaching files to your post in the header. (You may need to choose "Advanced" rather than a quick reply)

That is odd. Any chance we can get the por file? I suspect it’s a setting but without knowing how yours is configured I’m not sure how to fix it

Step 1 - make sure you have updated the data within the program, but what's weird is that to not have the recent factions means this is years out of date. (Updating is done from the screen where you select a character - look for "Updates" or "New Updates" along the bottom).

Step 2 - On the character tab, change the hero settings - you currently have "Pathfinder Society Content (no restrictions)" turned on, but it sounds like you want "Pathfinder Society Organized Play Character". That's why you're also seeing all the factions from the Faction Guide, in addition to the old PFS factions - while using the full rules, you're only allowed to select from PFS factions, but the "no restrictions" option is for those who are using some PFS material in their home games, so all the factions, both PFS and normal play factions, are shown.

I am updated to V14.17, and have changed the hero settings to Pathfinder Society Organized Play Character. Now I only have one faction option, which is Pathfinder Society.

Tx6185, I responded to both of your cases concerning this issue and so I'm wondering if our emails are getting caught in your spam folder. Can you confirm that you have received my responses to support ticket 242301 and 242455?

I just sent your character back with changes made to your configure menu.
