Creating a Custom Ability

Ok more coding questions. I'm new to hard coding for the powers and abilities.

I'm trying to create an power, and I'm not sure how to go about it. I either have to make four separate Resistance powers, which I can do on my own (I think), but I'm curious if it's possible to create a single power "Elemental Resistance" and have a drop-box where you chose the resistance type.

Now, if I am able to create the drop-box type power, is it possible to add it to a race, select the type in the drop-box, and have it stick to the race without letting the player change the type?

To give you a better idea of what I'm trying to do (I hope) I am creating four new races called Elems. There is an Air Elem, Earth Elem, Fire Elem, and Water Elem. Each is resistant to a different element: Electricity (Air), Acid (Earth), Fire (Fire), and Cold (Water).

I thought those resistances would already be in the system, but I cannot find them under special abilities or racial abilities. If you guys know of them already being there, pointing me in the right direction would be awesome as well.

Thanks fellow gamers :)

Sorry I should Clarify, I know the Resistances already exits, I just can't figure out how to adjust the value they offer. They default to 5, but these races have a resistance of 2...If someone knows a way to change that default, that would be pip :)

In the editor, Help menu...help on using the editor...Reference Information...Useful Macros - that's where the #applyresist[] macro is described.
