As I began to try out Card Vault's authoring kit, I remembered a link I had gotten quite a while ago to Altnova's XMLSpy Home Edition - a free XML editor. So, I tried copying the dtd from the bottom of the Definition Files section of the docs into XMLSpy, and it keeps giving me errors. It starts off by complaining about the standalone="yes" entry on the first line.
Unfortunately, I know very little about the workings of xml, although it's not hard to figure out how to use it.
The program doesn't like the .def file I handwrote, either. Of course. But then again, neither does CardVault. I'd just like to use the other program to check for typos before I go looking for CV specific issues.
P.S. The game I'm trying to work on is WotC's Dreamblade CMG.
P.P.S. I can't currently get to the portion of the website that would actually let me buy CardVault. The long link just shows a blank page.
