Constructing a Class

Is there a step-by-step procedure that one should use when entering a complete new base class from scratch based on source material?

And how would that procedure differ for a Prestige or Advanced class?

The tutorial for adding custom material to the d20 files includes a section that walks you through creating a custom class from scratch. I recommend using this tutorial as an initial reference. If you run into questions or problems along the way, let us know and we'll do our best to help out.

The key differences between a Core class and a Prestige class will typically be two-fold. First, prestige classes will have pre-requisites. Second, prestige classes may have levels that "count as" a level in a core class. Otherwise, I think the two will be pretty darn similar. Is there something you're anticipating that I'm not thinking of here?
