Combine two .por files

I have one player in my group that has HeroLab as well as I. I like to have all of the characters in one .por, so when we play I can track all of their expenditures/spells/special abilities.. How can I merge his file with my file? Right now I run his file on the laptop and my file with the other players on the desktop. I hope there is a easier way than retype out his characters.
 
I imagine someone else can give you more precise instructions, but if you have both .por files on your machine you should be able to import characters from another portfolio into the currently open one. I think this may be under the Portfolio menu (sorry, don't have the program set up here at work).
 
Assuming you have both portfolios on the same computer the specific you are looking for is:

Portfolio -> Import Hero from Portfolio
