Chariots & saving throws - question for everyone

so i think chariots need to work differentely. p64 of the rulebook says that the chariot gives a +2 armor save vs shooting, or you can use the chariots save if its better. but there is no save bonus in close combat.

so i think chariots should stop addding to your armor save, and just add a C to it or something to say that you get special chariot rules... does that sound right??/
