Changing XP Multiplication to flat

I've been doing some conversion to use the God Machine Rules update, but this particular one has me completely stymied.

The only way I've found to alter costs is to use
perform hero.assign[Discount1.cArtifice]

But that doesn't make the costs flat, just reduces the increase in cost per level. Any way to do a mechanic that makes the XP costs not increase per dot?

You can manually input a modified cost with each advancement, but that's the only way I know how to do it without being able to pry open the source code and build a house rule variant for Xp costs.

That's quite a shame. It's workable, but rather fiddly. :(

I suppose the same would apply to being able to adjust starting merit dots and the merit/wyrd dot conversion too?

Merit dots you should be able handle as an adjustment on the Personal for your characters. It should be under permanent adjustments.

Huh, I've never noticed that particular option! Thanks for pointing it out.

I would have found that useful months and months ago!

That's generally where to locate adjustments for all game systems. I have had to use the permanent adjustments many times myself.
