I would create a tracker that I would set to say 200 and bootstrap to the Racial Ability. Then use an Eval script that reads the tracker to see how many soul links are set. Use that value to calculate the AC bonus and the attack bonus for the weapon. Make the weapon unique so that it is easy to find in the eval script and you can then adjust the Bonus the weapon gets.

You could use an adjustment instead like chiefweasel said. It is both good and bad. Its not common so people may not immediately look for an adjustment where trackers are part of the In-Play tab. The good though is that the adjustment does not need a max value so it can keep going for ever.

Thanks Shadow, I was thinking of using a tracker, but I was trying to do it through the activated ability section on the racial abilities tab, but I can't figure out how to reference it in the Eval script.

Do you think it's cleaner if I create the 'Soul Chain' tracker, and then use that (bootstrapped into the ability) to calculate the bonuses?

That works great ~ i have it running in Phase: Final Phase (User), Priority: 10000.

Would it work better in a different slot?

I'm running Crown of the Kobold King tonight, was going to try to enter it in HL but saw that you already created it. Feel like sharing?

The "Community Bestiary" has this monster done and everything from "Crown of the Kobold King".

Once you have that downloaded and installed you can download the zip file "D1 - Crown of the Kobold King.zip" which has .por files done already for the module.

Then for real fun do your players use HL at the table or for making their character sheet? Then they should install the "Community Player Pack" as it contains all the player things like feats, traits, and magic items for "Crown of the Kobold King".

These are both 100% free. The CB does require many additional HL packages but the Player Pack needs nothing more than the base HL license to run.
