Changing magical armor

If I want to alter a specific suit of magical armour from one type to another, say Rhino Hide to Rhino Plate what changes would I need to make to which fields please?

Assume that I'm a complete idiot when explaining, and you wont be far off. :)

so you wanting the new armor to have the stats of breast plate, full plate or will still give hide stats just be made out of metal plates?

I'm wanting to effectively change a suit of armour that is usually only available as hide so that there is now a field plate version too. (Though I'm guessing that once I know what to change it could just as easily be a breastplate or scale version.)

well if you want it to have the same stats as an existing armor what i would do is go to the equipment tab and do new copy and find the type of armor it will mimic the stats of and just change the discription to read what i wanted it to. i have done an example for you to look at if you want

OK I see. Unfortunately the base item that I'm editing has blanks in those fields; however your file has pointed me towards a couple of other fields I hadn't considered. Turns out that I needed to go to Gizmo>Bootstraps and then change the base items from arHide to whatever base armour I need. After that's it's just a case of changing weights, costs etc.

Many thanks for your help. :)
