Hello!

I am posting this here because i believe this issue certainly affects Army Builder. I hope I am not breaking any of Your forum rules. And I hope administrators wont be afraid of competition and wont remove my post.

I am developing software for calculating points for tabletop wargames.
I have never owned ArmyBuilder but I know my software is similar in its concepts.

We're definitely not afraid of competition. It's been tried numerous times over the years.

However, it is utterly classless to use a competitor's site to expressly advertise your competing solution. If you have something constructive to say that is not just an advertisement, you are welcome to continue posting here. Failing that, there are numerous public forums where you should be promoting your tool. However, here is not one of those places.

Note: I've left the gist of your post intact and deleted the advertisement elements.

I wouldn't agree it was classless.
Maybe the advertisement elements was to hard but I think discussing armybuilder disadvantages with its users is an interesting thing.
Without it this thread has no point.

regards

I wholly agree that discussing AB's shortcomings is a worthwhile topic here. You'll see numerous threads here on the forums asking for new capabilities and lamenting the lack of various features. In fact, we're addressing a bunch of them in the V3.2 release due out shortly.

The issue is with you using that as a pretense for blatantly advertising your tool here. That behavior is wholly unprofessional and is the reason your post was trimmed. We could have easily ripped down the entire thread, but we didn't, since competition is healthy and keeps us on our toes. Only the blatant advertising was taken out.
