cards wanted printout

If I want to print out a list of cards that I want, but do not own,
how do I go about it?? I have brought up the cards I do not own in
inventory management along with the specific card details, but when I
go to output inventory, the cards and their criteria do not print?
Appreciate help anyone can give me!

You should be able to do it as follows:

* Open the inventory and set a filter for cards where owned = 0 and wanted
!= 0.
* Select 'output inventory' from the File menu.
* Make sure the 'cards wanted' checkbox is checked, and the 'restrict
output to current filter set' radio button is selected.
* Print away!

If I understand correctly, there should be only one additional thing you
need to do when outputting your inventory. You need to make sure the
checkbox for Excess Cards is checked, with the other two checkboxes
UNchecked. You can alternately filter the cards to only include the cards
on your want list and then select the radio button for Restrict Output to
Current Filter Set.

You may also want to check the box near the bottom labeled Use Customized
Output Layout. Then click the Configure button to specify which fields you
want included in the output, and in what order. If you don't you get a
default set of fields that it probably close to what you want, but not
necessarily exact.

If the above steps aren't working for you, please specify what game system
you are using and I'll investigate it further on this end. It's possible
the default set of information isn't define appropriately in the data files
you're using.

Colen, thanks for the quick reply unfortunately I still cannot get a
printout..? I began by going to the star button while in inventory management and
checked the 0 in inventory owned, which brought up all cards I do not own but
want, then I went to the column config button and arranged what card criteria I
want printed out...Then I tried your instructions but nada?? Sure hope you can
tell me what I can do to get a printout.. I am using the Warlord data files..

Rob, this did not work.. Warlord is the card database. To double check
myself, I clicked on the star button to change cards shown and checked the 0 for
inventory owned, which brought up the inventory of cards I do not own but want...
Then I changed the column configuration to reflect what card criteria I want
printed and that is where I then tried your instructions to no avail..Thanks
for your quick reply and hope you can tell me what I am doing wrong..

you have to check the "cards wanted" option in the "output inventory"
screen, define an output file, define the columns shown, and use the
active sort criteria and restrict output to current filter set
options. I think that's all it takes.
