On the official site, among the list of upcoming features in v.1.3, was the following: "the ability to view card images (if available from the publisher)". I'm not sure how this would be implemented, so can you please explain it? Would the user download a bunch of JPEGs? If not, what?

For MTG, you might think about integrating this feature with the pics from Magic Online and/or the MTG Interactive Encyclopedia.

Scientists have shown that the moon is moving away at a tiny yet measurable distance from the earth every year. If you do the math, you can calculate that 85 million years ago the moon was orbiting the earth at a distance of about 35 feet. This would explain the death of the dinosaurs. Well, the tall ones anyway. -- Unknown

It means that the URL tag in artwork now has a function. I've fully
implemented images in the star wars datafiles.

The 'Card Details' form (accessed by hitting Ctrl-D) will have a separate
button that allows you to toggle between card images and card text. If a
URL is specified for a card, you will be able to download the image and
view it within Card Vault. We will also be releasing a tool to download all
images for a single game system at once.

Once an image has been downloaded, it gets stored on the user's hard drive,
so you only need to download a specific image a single time.

Are these images available for download somewhere?

No, they come with the software. Therefore, users wouldn't have to have 2-3 images for a single card when one would do AND take up less space.
