can't select spell

As my first experiment with the HL Editor, I tried adding some spells from the Spell Compendium. "Test Now" went well, and after a little trial and error, I was able to get the spells to show up on the spell pick list for my druid sample character. However, when I click on the new spell in the list, it doesn't get added to my spells memorized. There's a slot still open, and I can still select the baseline SRD spells just fine. I assigned the new spells to a source named Spell Compendium, and selected it in the Configure Hero window. Any ideas what I'm still doing wrong?

Also, I added some feats from the Eberron books in a different .dat file, and made the source "Eberron". Now a checkbox for Eberron shows up in the Configure Hero window, but is grayed out and not selectable. It says that I need to purchase the data package. Is this a reserved name for a future expansion or something?

Just to rule something out, please try ctrl-r (quick reload) after all your "test now"s are done - there's currently a bug in test now (closing and re-opening HL includes a reload of the data files, so try your new things once you get back to HL).
 
Can't Select Spell

'fraid that wasn't it. I tried ctrl-R, as well as closing out of the editor and HL itself, in various orders.

I assume the spells are marked with the correct class? Is this a new class you created, or a standard class?

This is a bug; reload the game system and the source will be selectable as normal. Thanks for reporting it - we'll get it fixed in the next version.
 
Can't Select Spell

Specifically, I entered several "Orb of..." spells from the Spell Compendium as both Wizard and Sorcerer spells, and the various "Vigor" spells as both Cleric and Druid varieties.

OK, I just downloaded the 20 Jan update. Don't know if that had anything to do with it, but now I can select the spells just fine. I didn't tinker with them in the meantime, so I'm not sure what else it might be.
