Okay. I'm attempting to create my own game system. I have the game made, and am polishing it, but I decided to try and screw with the .dat files in a new folder for putting the game on HeroLab. It was all going well until I realized I could not simply "create" a .dat file without editing the ".txt" part. So I got lazy and copied, pasted, and renamed the Attributes file. I think this is what caused it all to go sour...
So I made sure when I was editing my new thing to change the id and compset, as well as the value (but not the fieldval field). So I ctrl-R and get this:
I sent an e-mail but in hindsight it was nowhere near enough detail. So I'm probably not going to get much help without another e-mail. I figured I might as well turn my hopes here.
If you need more information, please tell me. As for what I was trying to create, I was trying to make a new thing that would grant a character their "element", say fire, water, wood, metal, earth. I would have to add in the menu to choose it later.
