Bretonnian Virtue

The Virtue of Discipline was missing from the virtue list on my Army Builder. I have been away from Fantasy for a while so if it changed then I failed to notice, but if it has not changed then it was one that I used to use and would like it added into the options.

you'd have to be a bit more specific... your post is rather vague. Also, referancing certain FaQ, rulebook, and armybook pages helps us out a lot.

Sorry. I'll try to be more clear.

In the Warhammer Fantasy Bretonnia army book the hero characters can take virtues in addition to magic items(Bretonnia Army Book, titled Virtues of the Chivalric Knight pages 58 and 59). While in the virtue menu on Army Builder I noticed that the Virtue of Discipline (+15 points) was missing from the possible selections.

Having not played the fantasy version for a while I wasn't sure if this was an accidental omission, or if that virtue was no longer a valid option.

The "issue" is that the latest Bretonnina Army Book FAQ instructs that players should ignore the Virtue of Discipline, presumably because it no longer works* with the 8th edition rules, so the previous maintainer opted to simply remove it from the files.

*Specifically: No-one gets +1 combat resolution for outnumbering any more, and being outnumbered by fear-causers doesn't auto-break anyone either. as such the actual "benefit" is useless and the remaining text of the virtue is just confusing.

I have now played my first battle since returning to fantasy and see what you are talking about Mr Rose.

Thank you both for such a fast reply to my post.

Always be sure to check the Warhammer Fantasy Battle FAQs page at GW's website (here) for the latest rules errata and clarifications.
