Bootstraps Reducing Abilities

I am no scripter. Having trouble figuring out how to reduce a characters ability, specifically STR in this case. Can raise ability scores no problem using bootstraps.
I'm sure its something simple and I'm just a noob, but if someone could spell it out for me I'd appreciate it.
