Beginner Box to CRB

If you create characters using the beginner box, is there an easy way to convert them to the full CRB characters? I could, I suppose, just recreate them, but there might be some differences.

Is there a way they can gain access to items that aren't available in the BB while they're still playing mostly under BB rules? Example: I've been watching the excellent Youtube sessions of "Beginner Box and Troubles in Otari, and once they finished "Menace Under Otari" the next session started with a discussion of what the characters did during their three days of downtime. The wizard bought two bolas. Not a BB weapon (it's in the Advanced Players Guide). Also, it's a martial weapon, so I'm pretty sure he's untrained with them.
 
Go to Character Settings, and click the "Switch to Full Rules" option. This will change your character from using BB guides to using full options.

There's also a Beginner Box Additional Content source that enables the new options presented in the BB, such as the magic items.
