Okay, so let's just say I've had catastphic problems, and I need to reformat and do a fresh install of Windows. My question is what do I need to back up, and what is the simplest way to do it? I know I need to back up my decks and inventories, but do I need to export/import or can I just move the files and move them back later? And what about my license?

Scientists have shown that the moon is moving away at a tiny yet measurable distance from the earth every year. If you do the math, you can calculate that 85 million years ago the moon was orbiting the earth at a distance of about 35 feet. This would explain the death of the dinosaurs. Well, the tall ones anyway. -- Unknown

To back up your decks, just move the .dck files somewhere else. To back up
your inventory, the best way is to use the "Save Inventory XML File" from
the Inventory 'File' menu.

You can transfer your license to a new computer by using the Support web
site at http://www.lonewolfdevel.com/. You don't need to back up any files,
although it will be quicker if you kept a record of your license number.

There is a section in the User Manual that specifically outlines the two
different methods for backing up inventory. Colen identifies one, but the
other might be easier in your situation.

I distinctly remember a particular person being previously chastised about
not bothering to read the provided documentation. And I distinctly remember
that person saying that a more concerted effort would be made to read said
documentation. I wonder who that person might have been.... :-P

The quickest way to get to the license management website is to launch CV,
go to the License menu, and select "Manage License". Voila! No memory of
URLs required....
