Background Tab

Ok, I've looked all over. But is there any way to add new text areas to expand the character? I.e. biography, description, etc.

I'm coming from PCGen and some parts (i.e. it isn't slow as crap) are great, but I'm finding the background tab and the print/export being really inferior.

Thanks for any tips.

On the Personal tab, there is a large box to make some notes in. You can also use the Jounrnal tab to make some notes about your character.

Download "AncientOne's" custom sheet. When you start HL go to "Find Updates" and near the bottom is "AncientOne's Pathfinder Sheet (v4.9)". Download and install it.

Then go to "File->Save Custom Output" and choose "AncientOne's Sheet". Most people really like that one.

I have used that, yes. The journal tab really isn't appropriate for notes such as biography, etc.

It would be suitable to have a 'add new note' feature, such as on the journal, to the 'background' tab. And the ability to re-order to the notes, or set ones that may be printed out.

Has LWD done comparison studies against competing products (granted, the # of them have dwindled) to determine missing features?

It just seems that the application has focused on accomodating all the rules for a variety of games; which is great especially considering how seamlessly they work, but unfortunately at the expense of general features. I remember reviewing HL when it came out initially and now that I've dug up the notes, I see that many of the same missing features are still not there years later. :(
