I've inherited the 100 Kingdoms data files. I've finished entering
all the latest information, but the authoring comments are currently
locked. It's been a while for me... how do you unlock them?

I can't seem to find out where to do that.

Also, I'd like to increase what can be done with them (model count,
magic spells, etc) and I'd love some basic pointers on those.
(for example, the WFB files add up spell/dispell dice, and models,
etc... How do I get that to show up?)

Thanks,
Jason

To prevent miscreants from changing the authoring information and claiming
the files as their own (yes, someone actually did this) you can 'lock'
files to a single computer. Since you, as you say, inherited them from
someone else, it might be worth sending the previous author the file you
need unlocked and asking them to unlock it. If they can't, or if they've
disappeared, let us know and we'll see what we can do.

Investigate the 'accu' race attribute and all your questions should be
answered. There's one example of this in 'cr.wf6' of the warhammer files.

Regarding this particular problem (the locked datafiles) I had asked you about the lastchancers file for 40k previously Colen, did you have any luck with this?
Not being able to decompile this to a text file is close to becoming a pain. So far all my datadef changes haven't broken it yet, but its only a matter of time, and I have no idea how to reach the original author.
Cheers,
