Attribute Limit Curiosity

Forgive me if this is mentioned anywhere, but we noticed a weird thing tonight.

When you mouse over an attribute, it brings up a tooltip, and in there, it shows "Attribute Limits". Then it shows you the starting attribute and max attribute for your metatype. Then it shows a number in Parenthesis... and I can't figure out what this number is supposed to represent. It's not augmented max, or limit for the attribute category.

I'm almost certain it's going to be something that is blatantly obvious, after the fact.. but.. anyone know?

That is your current augmented maximum. You'll note that whatever your current attribute is the number in parentheses is always four higher.
