Associating smart-map pins directly to another smart-map?

Hello!

I have a world-map that I've put a grid on and divided into sectors. I would like to be able to click on the pin on the map and go directly to another another smart-map that is that sector map.

Right now, I can only get it to go to a topic that contains that smart map. Is there a way to directly connect smart maps or do I have to just link to the containing topics?

I don't think you can have the pin directly open a new map - you can, however, have it open the topic which contains the map.

I know others have worked far more with this than I have and there should be a thread somewhere in these fora showing how maps can be utilised.
