Article View versus Topic Veiw

Sorry, this might seem a really dumb question.

I am getting back into Realmworks after a big break.

The custom views are cool but I getting confused - what is different between a topic and an article view.

I am wanting to have a view that is just rules - which view type would i use

For a view of a village NPCs and locations - which one?

Articles = game mechanics and rules => Mechanics Reference
Topics = story and world content => World Almanac or Story Almanac
