Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't find a place to set a min or
a max total point value for a whole army list. I'm doing an
augmentation file and would like the min & max to apply only when in
the mode I'm using in the augmentation file.

Is there a way to do this?

Debbie

Blimey, don't think so. Why do you need to do it?

It's easier than trying to make sure that no one breaks the rules and puts
in an extra 50 points of troops, or doesn't make a big enough banner. I can
do it by hand if I need to, but I'd rather check as few things by hand as
possible, which is the great thing of Army Builder! <g>

I don't think there is, I'm afraid. :(

Sorry for being offline for a few days. I've been buried with all the
details for the upcoming V2.0 release.

There is no way to enforce a minimum or maximum roster size from the data
files. Usually, enforcing a minimum is rarely a problem, since most gamers
are going to try and squeeze every point they can out of an army list. :-)
For the maximum, just check the validation report at the bottom of the
roster. At the top of the roster, it will clearly say XXX points army -
make sure it's the proper value. Then, if the army list goes over that
point cap, a validation message will be generated by AB, so everything you
need should be in the validation messages.

Thanks, Rob

The problem with that would be that people could just change the army
size to 'Unlimited' or a higher number and it wouldn't give an error.

Hmmm. I disagree. If the size is unlimited, the total size is shown in the
upper left corner of the roster. If the size is higher than the specified
number, that size is shown in the upper left. If you visually check the
roster size in the upper left corner and then jump down to validations,
you're all set.

Thanks, Rob
