any way to make copy of a 'protected file' in the editor, like the Solar race tab?

It's not like I'm reselling the information, I just really don't want to have to start from scratch. I'm wanting to edit a Solar npc where he's dropped from grace and leads a devil army. I can't copy solar in the editor to change things, is there any way to change that?
 
The only way that I found to do what you want is to open herolab twice, side by side. Then copy and paste what you want and then save it under a new name. Hope that helped. There might be an easier way to do it - but I haven't found it yet.
