Anti Paladin Variant Channel

I am creating an Graveknight Anti Paladin who is gonna harass my group and pretty much give them a reality check when they are starting to feel a little to confident. I wanted to give him the Darkness Variant Channel but the option for Variant Channel doesn't show up and yet when I look at the Variant Channel rules it says that if you can channel positive or negative energy then you can take a Variant Channel. Is there a rule I am missing or is this a glitch of some kind?
 
Got your bug report, got it fixed, but it didn't make it into this month's release. Look for it in August.
