Animals and non-race monsters?

One of the most important uses, to me, of a tool like Hero Lab is simplfying adding templates to things. However, the system doesn't seem to currently have all of the SRD monsters and normal animals in place, and I'm not sure how to add them -- does the 'race' tab allow selection of a creature type, such as undead or ooze, with the saves, hit dice, etc, correctly calculated?

Currently we don't include all the monsters from the SRD. We include all
the ones that can be used as player characters, as well as a bunch of
templates that allow you to create vampires, skeletons, zombies, etc.
The remaining monsters will be added in a future release.

Hope this helps,

I know you don't include them...but I was wondering how I could add them myself, as needed. For example, in today's game, I had some half-plant dire wolves. Adding the half-plant template is easy in HL, but I wasn't sure how to add the wolves.

Just add them as a race in the editor, and check the "NPC Race" checkbox
to indicate that they're not normally for players. If you want them to
have natural claw attacks and so on, you can bootstrap the "Claw",
"Bite", etc picks like some of the sample races do. The Hound Archon is
a reasonably complex example you can refer to.
