Animal companion size mismatch

My GM is making me shrink my Lion animal companion so I gave it a -1 size adjustment under permanent adjustments. When I try to purchase small leather armor (barding) for it, it tells me it's the wrong size so I can't wear it. How do I fix this?
 
Looks like something is off on the size adjustment for ACs. If you add a Medium sized Leather Armor it seems to work without issues. Use Medium armor for now and put in a bug report to LW about this situation.
 
If this is about the "Size Category" adjustment, that one says in it's description text that it works like enlarge person (so it changes the size of your gear, too).
