Animal companion: Alternate leveling

Our group has a halfling cavalier on a wolf. In order to keep the mount small so it still fits in the dungeon, we're using the very underutilized option of advancement.

Instead of taking the listed benefit at 4th or 7th level, you can instead choose to increase the companion's Dexterity and Constitution by 2.

Is there a way to do this in hero lab? Its trying to automatically push it to 7th level and large.
 
On the minion tab of the animal companion, find the table named "Add Alternate Racial Traits & Animal Archetypes", and add "Alternate Advancement"
