Alternate Racial Traits and 'Counts as Race'

I'm designing a new race that is a half-breed between two other races. Much like half-orcs/elves in standard Pathfinder they 'count as' both other races and allowed to take alternate racial traits they qualify for, etc.

The problem is that Hero Lab is allowing players it pick ANY alternate racial traits, even if the half-breed race does NOT have the prerequisite racial special ability to substitute.

For example, one of the 'base' races has a racial special called 'Predator Aspect' which the half-breed race doesn't have, yet all ARTs that replace 'Predator Aspect' are treated by Hero Lab as being valid, despite the obvious issues this causes.

Any ideas on how to work up a fix to this?

The half-elf race has a pair of HideGroup tags on itself which it forwards to the hero. The ARTs which replace abilities it does not possess are marked with SpecGroup tags. When a HideGroup tag on the hero matches the SpecGroup of a potential ART, that ART is not allowed to be selected.

Okay, well, I double-checked the format with the Half-Elf race and the human and elven ARTs and applied appropriate tags to the race and the ARTs in question. For whatever reason, though, it still doesn't properly restrict them or show validation errors. I reloaded, recompiled, and even totally rebooted Hero Lab and my computer.

Here are images, first from the ART to set up the SpecGroup then the race with the HideGroup. Is there some thing I did wrong that threw it off that isn't obvious?

Ah, that wasn't totally clear! Okay, simple enough then. I'll put that in and check it out.

Thank you!
