Adding spells to spellbook via scrolls

One of my players purchased some scrolls to add to a spellbook (Well, technically a fetish mask). When I add these to his Hero Lab character it complains that he knows too much. How can I do this without Hero Lab getting upset at me?

Why does Hero Lab charge money when adding spells to a fetish mask? Under the Scarred Witch Doctor rules it states that they gain new spells the same way normal witches do with a familiar. That just takes a spellcraft check, there is no gp cost involved.

The critical word in that is "most". Some of them will charge money instead, so we need to offer the money option. If you're trading them, then just use the Buy for Free checkbox.

That's easy enough to do. It's just interesting that there's a set price per level of the spell. I wonder where that value is coming from.

Interesting. So it uses the rules for a wizard's spellbook for an item that works like a witches familiar combined with a wizards arcane bond. No wonder I'm confused :)

The witch rules never mention anything about money, though. It feels like it would make more sense for Hero Lab to not include a fixed price at all and just have players deduct gold from their total on the off-chance that another witch is charging them money for a new spell.

EDIT: A friend has just pointed out to me that the original witch could learn new spells just like a wizard could, hence the gold cost. That rule has been changed.

If you have a rules citation that we don't have it correct, please submit a bug report, don't just post it in this thread. We are working on this month's release right now, and that means that a bug report filed on pg. 2 of a thread whose title isn't directly related to the bug report could easily get forgotten by the time the crunch to get the release done is finished.
