adding HD to creatures

I know that has to be answered somewhere, but I couldn't find it. So, here i am. Forgive me if its been answered elsewhere.

How do you add HD to a an existing critter? I am trying to build a basilisk with extra HD, but can't figure out how. I am using Hero Lab 4.0c.
