Adding Gold to NPCs

This might be a lame question but i cant find out how. How can you add gold to an NPC? the only method I see is during the first page that comes up. But I cant seem to find away to add gold after the NPC creation process has been started. Thanks.

You can get back to that first page on the character menu - configure hero.

If you need full cash tracking, consider using the PC mechanics rather than the NPC mechanics.

My PC had 45,000 GP. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get him down the the more appropriate 353gp. I finally realized that in his latest journal entry I could put a minus mark and put 45000 and then hit 'earn' which removed my unwanted gold. But after all this time I just figured it out and I'm not a newbie. I really love this program, but there are some areas that frustrate me.
Now I suppose I'll have to really attempt to understand the Bestiary add-on.

The NPC method and the PC method for adding and subtracting gold are different. The NPC one had me stumped for a bit.

Speaking of money,

what is the easiest way to transfer money to your mount to buy gear, like barding for example?

Lately, I have had to buy something on my main sheet, transfer it to my mount, sell it at full value and them repurchase the item that I desire.

Is there a way to send money back and forth?

I understand it would be bad to use a pool as it would alter encumbrance, but making it easier would save on a couple of steps (unless I am doing it the hardest way possible, lol).

For my animal companion, I purchase the item for free, then reduce the cost from my main character's journal. I don't think mounts/companions have a place for money so I felt that was the simplest way to go.

hmm... i guess I could do it that way...

I wasn't sure how to reduce money, so that was the wall I ran into.

Do you just enter a negative value to reduce?
