Adding custom content

Can anyone point me to the easiest way to add custom content?

I have tons of additional things i would like to add and after reviewing the editor and authoring kit documentation it just seems so...daunting. Is there an easier reference somewhere? Something that would make adding content less painful?

I would like to make full use of the editor by adding new powers (which I am already doing), feats, themes, races, and classes etc, etc. I'm just wondering if there was a simpler approach?
