Adding a hero to a a unit

I have played around with it and its most likely a very simple answer but I am trying to add a vampire to a unit of crypt ghouls. Its not letting me drag and drop like it did for my skellies. Any ideas?
P.S. I called a GW store just to verify if that was ok and they said it was allowable.

Drag the second line of the characters stat line not the part that has his official title.

for example
Ikit Claw (1 model figure, 395 pts) - first line
Ikit Claw - second line with stats. drag and drop this line

Maybe I'm all off here, but:
I've noticed that it's sometimes hard to drag a hero to a unit if Tool-tips are enabled. Try to turn of Tooltips in Settings->Basic Settings->Enable Tool-tips.

When I ticked of that setting, it's much easier to drag and drop units and characters.
