Activated Abilities, adding in more druid wild shapes of one type...

Activated Abilities, adding in more druid wild blah blah now with Feature Request

I am still new to hero labs, and as a learning curve I decided to convert my level 11 Storm Druid.

I am loving the program.

I just figures out I can check the box under "Activated Abilities: in the "In-Play Tab" to change my sheet to the Wild Shapes I imputed.

The problem is I can only put in 1 creature for each wild shape type. I have the Large Air Elemental imputed, but I also want to put in the Large Earth Elemental. I use both at least once a day on average.

Is there a way I can add an additional activated ability to add in different types of wild shapes?

I know I can just change it to Earth and print off my sheet. We primarily use actual pen and paper, but I would really like to add in all the wild shapes I tend to use.

Thanks,

The Adjust tab has spell adjustments which you can use to store back up/alternate wild shapes, then turn them on or off as needed.

Thank you so much. I have two follow up questions, but they should be simple enough.

How can I add the celestial template? I got planar wild shape feat, but when I go to classes and look up the template, it says the celestial template needs to be inherited.

But I only get the template when I shapeshift into a creature. I have clicked on in-play, and it gives me everything (like attacks, size modifier, etc) except the celestial template. And it won't let me add the template after the fact.

Ideas how to get around that?

Also, I have checked the forums but all the info is several years old. My Dragonhide Plate with Wild-Shape on it won't let me apply the armor bonus when in wild shape form, even tho I have dragonhide armor that has the wildshape enchantment on it.

It turns the item name red and says I can't wear metal armor. I got around that when my druid is wearing it by adding the material first when I created the armor, but that is not carrying over when I shift.

Thanks,

EDIT: Now it also won't even let me wear the armor when not in wild shape form. :(

I would ignore the validation error and add the template anyway when needed, or copy the existing spell adjustments and have them bootstrap the template when active (you can set it up to be bootstrapped with thing.skipprereq so that it won't throw the validation error).

Please submit anything you think isn't working correctly to the automated bug tracking system (link in the stickied threads of this forum) and we'll take a look at it. I'm handling bugs this week, and the polymorph system was my design, so please include all relevant details and/or an example portfolio with the issue. Thanks!

I am very impressed with the responses! I am working on setting up a proper bug report now.

However, can I add a request/suggestion since you are working on polymorph now?

I use hero-labs primarily to print off character sheets and monster encounters. I LOVE that I can print off a sheet for my character and a different character sheet for when s/he is wild shaped.

It got me thinking about my biggest problem with PnP rpgs, particularly at higher levels. Most of my characters have a standard set of feats, class abilities, potions, etc that I routinely use that dramatically change all my stats.

The Warrior might drink an enlarge potion. I might have 3 or 4 standard shapes I rotate between with my Druid.

It would be VERY appreciated if you added some print-option flags for different polymorph affects, or even feats and spell affects. That way when you print the standard character sheet you could include all the different options you tend to re-use.

For example: there might be a flag for a wild shape, one for haste, and for powerattack, etc. I as a player could then click "Large Dire Tiger," and then I could also click maybe "Large Dire Tiger + Powerattack" as a different set.

I could then have a flags for stuff like abilities, attacks, ac, CMB/CMD, saves, skills that get changed (like str and dex based skills).

The print off of the standard character sheet then would have a different section for each option I created.

I could then have all the combat stats for my Large Dire Tiger with Power Attack in it's own segregated spot on my character sheet. I wouldn't be using skills since I mostly just fight, and so I wouldn't include those.

I could then have just the Regular Dire Tiger (without Power Attack). I would include the changed skills and take maybe out CMB/CMD since I know I wouldn't be using that consistently. Being printed on the same standard character sheet, I wouldn't need all the skills. I would only include skills changed by the effect.

If we had those kind of options, then I could set up all the combinations I most commonly use in my travels and reduce writing out all the possible changes to my character stats.

Your program does this great if I leave it on on my laptop, but I don't game with that at the table. Printing off an entire new character sheet for each combination will create a lot of redundancy.

Some of my characters might only use 1 or 2 options, while I could set up 6+ on others.

I hope I explained myself well. Anyway, thank you for your direction. I intentionally chose a mid-high level druid as my first character so I could see the potential of Hero Labs, and buying it was money well spent!

Satisfied customer here.
