ACG Hunter with Scaling Feats

I have a Hunter from the ACG and am using the scaling feats option from the New Paths Compendium. It is not recognizing the scaling Precise Shot as an option for the Precise Companion class feature. Is there a way to make it an option or do I have to just stick with the non scaling version?
