The pirates have been cleared from the decks. (they were stubbornly hiding
inside a suit of terminator armour...)
New 40k3 files are hidden under your "locate files" button or "check for
updates". Take a look!. Go download them. Play with them, break them, put
them on a shelf and adore them... or whatever. I don't care.
Drat... another Pirate... the datafiles are, for the moment, not hidden
under the locate files button... (I still don't have my password). I'll be
uploading the files to the ab_files yahoogroup where they can be downloaded
until I manage to get them incorporated into the automatic checking system.

As Colen stated in his last release of the 40k3 data files. I have taken
over the task of adding and maintaining the files. Please direct all
questions
related to these files to me (mailto:shawn@electricstitch.com) and not to
Colen. Any emails sent to me will be treated with the same respect given.
(i.e. if you are sarcastic, abusive or annoying, then you can expect the
reply
to be the same). I will attempt to carry on the tradition of Colen's wit...
with a bit of my own flair.
I also want to reiterate, these datafiles are designed to be a "roster
creation tool" and not a "codex replacement tool" and for this reason, I
will not be putting descriptions of special rules. You will need the codex
(you do own the codex, right?). It is simply too much work, too much
clutter, and risks pushing the copyright limits. I will not publish an
article that makes a GW product unnecessary.
If you have questions regarding special rules, I suggest buying the codex,
borrowing a codex, going to the store and flipping through the store copy,
join a yahoogroup pertaining to your army or simply dealing with it. Thanks.

Revisions, Changes and things I always wanted

Several changes this edition. I went ahead and upgraded
this one to ver 3.0 in honour of my new charge.
I want to personally thank Colen for beginning and
maintaining this project. You have done a great job
and it is truly appreciated.

Here we go, starting in no particular order (which happens
to be reminiscent of alphabetical:
Chaos:
Lashing Tongue now cost 15 points instead of 10 pts.
Chaos: Iron Warriors
You can no longer take Cult Terminators.
Orks:
May now take boarboyz and wyrdboy (as per Chapter Approved pg50)
Grot Bomb launcha no longer gives error about heavy weapon.
Sisters of Battle
Redemptor priests now cost 20pts.
Veteran Sister Superiors now cost 20pts and not 21pts (10+10pts)
Space Marines: Iron Hands
Apothecaries and Standard Bearers may now take their appropriate wargear.
Terminator no longer gives +1 AT to veterans sergeants.
Removed Pirate infestation in Terminator Armour.
Characters are now charged for their power weapons.
Tau:
Vehicle upgrades no longer appear to all armies.
Pathfinder Shas'ui now cost 22pts.
Conflict between Plasma Rifle and Black sun filter is fixed.
Miscellaneous
Made VDR filtered. It is available under the settings menu, like special
characters.
Made Imperial Armour filtered. It is available under the settings menu.
