Hello!

Excitingness, in the form of Army Builder v2.1, has just been released unto
the world. Download it without delay! Just go to:

http://www.wolflair.com/

And follow the large signs saying "Army Builder". The major new feature
that I think you'll find useful in this version is, and I'll copy and paste
from Rob's email (sorry if you saw it before):

"There is one MAJOR new feature for end-users (and a bunch of
little ones). Army Builder can now handle everything associated with
retrieving updated data files. Building on the automatic update mechanism,
AB will now allow you to select a set of data files and immediately
download them across the internet, automatically and without having to
switch to your web-browser for the purpose. This will work for ALL data
files that AB knows about, including files that are dispersed across the
internet. Once the files are downloaded, AB can automatically import the
files for you, and you're ready to start using them. You never need to
chase down data files again - AB does it all for you with a couple of mouse
clicks. It's now just as easy to find and install data files as it is to
create rosters!"

Hoorah! Etc. Anyway, to *at ONCE* find all available datafiles for AB, all
you need to do is the following.

1) Establish an internet connection somehow. Doesn't matter if it's a
network, modem, dsl, wet string and paper cups, whatever.
2) Start Army Builder.
3) On the first screen you come to, choose "Locate File".
4) Wait for AB to talk to the Evil Servers of Doom at wolflair.com.
5) Gasp in amazement as a full list of datafiles is provided for your
comfort and convenience.

AB can now download and import these files automatically, so no more
wandering around web sites trying to find the latest version! And there was
much rejoicing.

That was a public service announcement. Now, a quick datafile update.

* I am just hacking some new gubbinz into the 40k files quite literally as
we speak. New 40k files will be released this evening when phone calls get
cheaper, and yes they will include i) The updated vehicle creation rules
from the GW web site, ii) The Imperial Guard Armoured Company army list. So
don't ask.

* I've got some new Mordheim files finished, they shall also be released
tonight. Finally! hoorah :)

* VOID: I've added the units that got sent out in that email from I-Kore a
couple of days ago, they will also be released tonight.

* Clan War: Not many huge changes here. I'm going to try and keep to a
monthly release schedule for the Clan War files, i.e. v1.3 files should be
released in the New Year, then updated ones in February, etc., unless I
find any horrific problems with them.

* Bablyon 5 Wars: Yes, these files have been sadly neglected in the past.
:( However my evil plans are proceeding apace, so be on your guard. In an
entirely metaphorical sense, of course.

* If any of you play Battletech, I believe Russell Sparkes has finally
(with the aid of some new V2.1 features) got prototype Battletech files
finished. "Impressive."

* I'm afraid two boys have been caught rubbing linseed oil into the school
cormorant.

That's it from me. See you later, and to all those who celebrate it, merry
christmas and a happy new year!
